Prayer Shawl Ministry
Each of the shawls we make is prayed over and blessed by a priest. Much work is done individually, outside of meetings - if you cannot attend meetings, please craft at home and drop completed shawls. Our handiwork has been given to our Parishioners, Roswell Park, Women and Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Nursing, Millard Fillmore Hospital, Veterans Hospital, and Service men and women serving overseas.
We have also made Peace Pal dolls, baby hats, scarves, pocket prayer shawls and fleece blankets. They are all created with love and many prayers. We received the Presidential Volunteer Award from President Bush. In 2008. It was awarded for the shawls and lap shawls that were sent overseas to our soldiers recovering in military hospitals.
Shawls are given at healing Masses or by request at any time.
We welcome everyone to join our Prayer Shawl Ministry.
